Dr. Jeremy Burns, Associate Dean for Admissions Communications & Information, University of Arkansas
Dr. Noah Pittman, Associate Dean of Enrollment for the Honors College, University of Arkansas

For almost Dive years now, higher education leaders have discussed the looming “enrollment cliff” expected to start around 2025. Although the cliff will likely impact some regions of the country more than others, the fact remains that the overall available supply of traditional, college-going students in the country will decrease, causing increased competition in new student recruitment and admissions. In this environment, Honors colleges and programs need to be prepared to play an important role in helping their institutions achieve their overall enrollment goals. It is therefore imperative to not only form collaborative relationships with your undergraduate admissions ofDice, but also to incorporate most, if not all, of your recruitment processes into your institution’s CRM (customer relationship management) system. This partnership is important for a number of reasons, including the sharing of prospective student data and making sure communications efforts are effective throughout the admissions funnel. Representatives from the University of Arkansas Honors College and the university’s undergraduate admissions ofDice will present on the many different ways they have been able to coordinate the recruitment of high-achieving students through their CRM, Slate. The presentation will focus on ways your ofDice can use a CRM to your beneDit, including application reviews, digital communications, event management, data analysis, and scheduling meetings with students. The presenters will also go over key Slate terminology and system tabs so you will have an overall better understanding of how the CRM operates, hopefully preparing you for admission discussions on your own campuses. The presentation will conclude with questions from the audience, along with a discussion of additional best practices that other Honors colleges and programs have been able to incorporate into their own campus CRM.
