Honors programs and colleges often have exclusionary history, policies, and practices and this time in US higher education provides both obstacles and opportunities for addressing them. In this roundtable session, moderators will share examples and challenges in their progress to infuse their programs with the values of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) in intentional, collaborative, and strategic ways. Whether you are just getting started or moving from isolated to integrated efforts, we invite you to this dialogue about creating diverse, equitable, and welcoming Honors environments.

Our roundtable will include time for deeper examination of the values that guide your work, ways to develop more dynamic planning processes rooted in social justice, and strategies for designing effective and equitable partnerships inside and outside of Honors. Join us as we discuss building a team and a plan that can bring DEIB work out of isolation and into the center of our programs.
